Good grief Crosswind. The way these tech stories are going, I am throwing everything out. 🤣🤣 But then they probably will return one way or the other. Great edge of the seat writing here. ~ Nerra🤍
Okay, this one scared me most of all. As someone who was supposed to have an MRI this week, but had a panic attack in the machine and had to leave, all this medical device stuff is my biggest fear. It's bad enough with incompetent medical staff, but having technology that makes decisions it probably shouldn't is a new fear unlocked. So glad I'll never have to have a procedure done at 2:13 AM! 😂
I still have to figure out how to get it done. They may need to sedate me. I read too much scary stuff and have developed fears of being buried alive. That’s exactly what this felt like. I’m thinking up ideas for my own horror story now.
Every horror writer eventually discovers the scariest monster isn’t a ghost or demon… it’s your own imagination after reading too much horror. 😂 Hoping you get through it okay, and selfishly looking forward to the story your brain cooks up afterward.
😂🤣 Considering what we’ve been trained to do in the air, I figured it wouldn’t be any big deal. The reason I’d manage well in an air emergency is because I’d be up and doing something useful. I don’t know if you’ve been inside one of those closed MRI’s but it reminded me of the detective shows in the morgue where they slide the dead bodies into those drawers. It doesn’t look like that, but that’s what it felt like. It’s amazing how much modern medicine can still trauma us and you provided proof of that in your writing. No matter how technologically advanced we get the trauma is still there.
It’s a 3 part mini series and this is 3 of 3. They aren’t in chronological order just a part of the Attune ™️ system series. It’s an idea that in the future we have smart things that turn against us. At least what I was trying to do. Here are the other two parts:
Oh, thank you. I saw the #013 and thought there were 13 parts. And thanks for the explanation. I wish Substack could find a better way to access these stories that need to be grouped together.
Yeah, the post tab on everyone’s profile works pretty good, but I think that’s my fault for not naming Attune ™️ part 1, part 2 etc. I do apologize and thanks for calling me out!

😂 At this rate we’re all going back to candles and handwritten letters. Thanks so much, Nerra. I’m glad the suspense landed. 🖤

Holy moly! Yeah, I would’ve been super scared on this one too! Yeah luckily they are done in the late mornings like 10am 😂

It’s so true. If they make me go back into one that’s closed not open, it may turn out like Stephen King’s “The Jaunt.” 😱
I hope not for your sake, but great reference! Love that book!

"Curiosity becomes a bad habit in jobs where you stare at dashboards all night looking for small signs something is wrong."
This one got me! Curiosity should never be a bad habit, especially if its intent is to solve a challenge, a problem.
Thanks for reading! I really appreciate it. Like really thank you 🙏🏻
Crosswind, could you give me a link to where this story starts? I’m struggling to find the beginning.
